Welcome to our monthly newsletter. It is an exciting month here at the church.

Let us begin with the news around our current Bible study that delves into the topic of spiritual gifts. It is an opportunity to learn what our spiritual gifts are, how we are to use them, and where in the church family there is a possibility to apply them. It is truly amazing to see God’s people putting their God-given gifts together with fellow believers to glorify Him in the service of others. Along with the first Bible study of the year starting, we also have our first Donuts and Discussion happening this month.

Donuts and Discussion is a gathering together of people from multiple churches to discuss today’s current topics. As the world continues to grabble with what is good and moral, we as Christians must be able to clearly know God’s stance on many of these issues. The Bible encourages every believer to be prepared in and out of season to give a reason for the joy in our lives. As Christians we must be able to give testimony to not only what we believe, but also why we believe it. Donuts and Discussion is an opportunity for all of us to gather and take one topic at a time and look deeper into what the world says about it verses what the Word says about it. So be sure to set time aside Saturday the 18 th of this month to join us in friendly conversation as we all grow in our faith and understanding surrounding these tough topics.

Looking ahead on future activities, the church is looking to plan more gym days. These are days in which we get together to play a pickup game of basketball, volleyball, or other fun activities. These events are a way in which we can all come together and have some old-fashioned fun. We also have a wintertime cookout in the plans as well with burgers, dogs, and chips. It is sure to be a great time. The crafters will also be gathering Saturday the 25 th to scrapbook and enjoy a day of fun and food. With all that is going on at the church, you are going to want to keep your eye on the church calendar, the bulletin, or the church website (Bethelccc.org) to see all the upcoming events.
