November- News From The Pews

Welcome to another edition of our monthly newsletter. Lots of exciting news to share, so let us get started. This month we are gearing up to send off our Christmas Shoeboxes all over the world through Samaritan’s Purse. We collected and filled 55 shoeboxes with toys, clothes, hygiene materials, papers, stickers, and some travel sized games. All these boxes will also be prayed over before they leave our church and head to children all over the world. Thank you to all who helped in any way to make this happen; we are truly a blessed church family.

In other news our church is gearing up for Thanksgiving and the Christmas season. So, keep your eyes and ears open for the upcoming events. A movie night is sure to be in the works for both adults and kids. And this year, if the adults are well behaved, the kids may even share some popcorn and other snacks with them. Also, our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service details are being worked out and more information will be coming soon.

We are also excited to be hosting a missionary worker this month at Bethel as well as at our sister church Bradleytown. Jason Rischel, whose parents are located right here in the Dempseytown area, will be speaking here on the morning of November 19th. They are back in the area for a visit. They live and work in Burkina Faso, a small landlocked country in West Africa. Jason will be sharing about his work in the mission fields and will be answering any questions that you may have about the work he has been blessed to be a part of for several years. It is sure to be exciting to hear how God is working around the world through individuals from right here in our neck of the woods.

Finally, if you haven’t had a chance yet to check out our awesome library, you NEED to! There is a wide range of books and DVDs that are available for you to take out and enjoy. From kids to adults, you’re sure to find some great treasures to enjoy.
