News From The Pews- (May 2023)
Welcome again to another addition of our monthly newsletter, we want to wish all the MOMs out there a truly joyous and blessed Mothers ‘Day. Also, please be sure to mark your calendars for the mother/daughter banquet that is being held at BradleytownCommunity Church on May 20th at 5pm. We hope to see you there as we celebrate and thank all the moms that are in our church families.
There are also lots of new things happening at the church since we last updated everyone in March. Of course, Easter happened, and we celebrated with a sunrise service and a meal afterwards with our brothers and sisters in Christ at Bradleytown Community Church. We have also started a new Bible study this month that follows the Chosen TV series. Just a reminder, there is still room for you to come and enjoy great fellowship, fun, and, of course, some very educational insights into the early disciples, and how it may have looked from the unique perspective that the Chosen series takes.
The church is also gearing up for another year of hosting our community children who wish to come to our VBS program in August. Our own Melissa Snyder will once again be heading up, and, in some cases, even rounding up the kids for this truly blessed event. This year we are going down under with our Australian friends. The theme this year is Zoomerang, and it’s all about the sanctity of life. Be sure to see Melissa if you can help in any way this year. It’s sure to be an amazing learning experience for all of us involved. This is a great opportunity to grow together as a church family, as we lead our young ones into a deeper relationship with God, and a greater reverence for the sanctity of all life.
There is also talk that this year, during the DempseytownCommunity yard sales (June 2nd- 3rd), that the church will be setting up tables for those interested in renting them. Also, there will be food for sale and drinks to refresh those who have braved the adventures of a full day of yard saling. There are treasures of all kinds to be found and sold, for those brave enough to venture out into the fast paced thrill of yard saling. If interested in solidifying one of these tables or multiple tables, please see Lydia McClintock for all the details.
It is also worth noting that the Pastor has not forgotten about family night and is still working out all the details to make that a successful ministry. What is family night, you ask? Great question! It will be a night in which we gather our church family together to grow our relationship with God. There will be Bible studies for the adults and youth fellowship/ Bible lessons for the kids. Yes, that’s right, a night which involves activities for the whole family! It will be a weekly gathering in which the whole church family can come, learn, grow, and then fellowship together at the end of the night with light snacks and drinks. However, as we said, the Pastor is still ironing out all the details as God continues to guide the church in this endeavor. More details to come soon. Well that is it for this addition, but be sure to be on the lookout for more…..
